When Jesus speaks about joy in John 15:11, He’s not talking about a temporary feeling or something that comes and goes with circumstances. He’s talking about a deep, unwavering joy that fills you completely. A joy that is born from abiding in Him, from being rooted in His love and truth.
This joy isn’t dependent on your surroundings or what you’re facing. It’s unshakable because it’s anchored in the One who never changes. It’s a joy that rises up from within you, regardless of the storms swirling around. When life feels heavy, His joy lifts you higher, reminding you that you are loved, chosen, and never forgotten.
Today, don’t just search for happiness in the fleeting moments or the temporary fixes of life. Tap into the eternal joy that only comes from staying connected to Him. It’s in His presence, in His promises, that true joy is found and it fills your heart to overflowing.
Prayer
Father, thank You for the joy that comes from being in Your presence. I receive the joy You have promised, the joy that fills me completely and overflows into every area of my life. When challenges arise, remind me that this joy is unshakable because it is rooted in You. Help me to walk in the confidence of knowing that no matter what I face, Your joy will carry me through. May Your joy strengthen my heart, renew my spirit, and be a testimony of Your goodness in my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
